Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Town Peek. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and take responsibility for all activity on your account.

You may register with an email and password or via a third-party sign-in we support (currently Google). You may hold only one active personal account. Additional accounts for the same business must be clearly linked to that business.

Town Peek provides a technology platform where users post listings and communicate with each other. We are not a party to any transaction between users, we do not inspect items, we do not employ sellers, and we do not guarantee that a listing is accurate or that a deal will close.

We do not take title to any item, we do not act as a broker, and we do not provide legal or financial advice. Where we introduce payment features (see section 6), we make our role in that transaction explicit at checkout.

You are solely responsible for what you post - including titles, descriptions, photos, videos, prices, and contact details. By posting content on Town Peek you confirm that:

• you own the content or have the right to publish it,
• it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, or privacy,
• photos depict the actual item or service you are offering,
• it complies with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and advertising rules.

You grant Town Peek a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, translate, and redistribute your listing across the platform (including in search engines, our email/push notifications, and social previews) for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This license ends when you delete the listing, except where retention is required by law or in already-cached third-party systems.

Listings, business profiles and posts may be automatically translated between Armenian, Russian, and English. You are responsible for the content of the original; you accept that translations may contain inaccuracies.

The following items or activities are not allowed on Town Peek:

• weapons, ammunition, or explosives;
• illegal drugs, prescription medication, or drug paraphernalia;
• counterfeit goods, stolen property, or replicas of currency and official documents;
• adult content, escort services, or any sexually explicit material;
• hazardous materials, live animals in violation of local laws, human remains, or human tissue;
• tobacco, e-cigarettes, or alcohol where prohibited by law;
• gambling, lottery tickets, and similar chance-based products;
• personal data of third parties, hacked accounts, or credentials;
• hate speech, harassment, threats, or content targeting protected groups;
• pyramid, MLM, and similar “quick money” schemes;
• any product or service prohibited by U.S., California, or Armenian law where the listing is available.

Additionally, you agree not to:

• post duplicates of the same listing across categories or cities to gain visibility;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content without our written permission;
• use another user’s contact details for unsolicited marketing;
• attempt to bypass our safety features, rate limits, or moderation tools;
• use Town Peek to phish, defraud, or otherwise deceive other users.

Business accounts may apply for our “Verified” program. Verification requires a confirmed phone number, a physical business address, and an active Verified subscription ($19.99/month; a free period may apply to invited businesses). Verified businesses receive a trust badge and an enhanced storefront on their listings, message notifications forwarded to Telegram, WhatsApp and email, and the ability to publish business posts and listings. Messaging inside Town Peek is free for every user and never requires a subscription.

A Verified badge is not an endorsement of quality. It confirms that we successfully contacted the business at the phone and address they provided; we do not audit their products or business practices.

We may revoke Verified status at our discretion if we receive multiple substantiated complaints, if payments fail, or if we discover that the information provided was false.

Paid features are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.

Because paid features are digital and made available immediately after purchase, we do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, technical failure, unauthorized use of your card), contact us within 14 days at support@townpeek.com and we will investigate.

Payments between buyers and businesses (via Stripe Connect) are being rolled out gradually. Where they are not yet available, any “pay online” option is not active, and you should arrange payment directly with the other party. When such payments are available, a separate transaction agreement is shown at checkout, and Town Peek holds no funds beyond the transaction window.

Town Peek offers an in-platform chat where buyer and seller can communicate without exposing personal contacts. You agree to keep the conversation civil, not to send spam or off-platform payment requests, and not to share your counter-party’s private information with third parties.

If you connect Telegram, WhatsApp, or Web Push notifications to your account, we use those channels only to relay messages that were sent to you inside Town Peek, and updates from businesses you chose to follow. You can disconnect at any time in your account settings. (Note: a WhatsApp button on a listing that “shares” the listing is different from contacting the seller through Town Peek chat.)

The Town Peek name, logo, coin mark, and platform design are our property. You may not use them to imply endorsement, run a competing service, or as part of a domain name. Referencing us in editorial coverage or reviews is fine.

Content posted by users remains theirs. If you believe your work is infringed on Town Peek, send a notice under the U.S. DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) to support@townpeek.com with (1) your contact details, (2) identification of the copyrighted work, (3) the URL of the infringing listing, and (4) a statement made under penalty of perjury.

We reserve the right to remove listings, restrict features, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or our community safety, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where the risk requires immediate action. We may also remove content that generates a disproportionate volume of complaints even where the underlying rule is ambiguous.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@townpeek.com. Some information may be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disputes about the item, its condition, payment, or delivery are between the buyer and the seller. We may, but are not required to, provide the parties with limited information (such as the timestamp of a message or that a listing existed) if legally required. We do not act as an arbitrator or escrow agent unless we explicitly offer that service in writing.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any listing on the platform is accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Town Peek is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
